1. What is Project Matchday about?
Asia Insight is conducting a trial to test the English Premier League viewing experience, via an app on your mobile device, Desktop/Laptop and connected TV.
The trial runs for two cohorts from Feb 2026 to May 2026. On a first-come first served basis, you will be invited to join Phase 1 or Phase 2.

2. How do I get onboard the trial?
Simply fill in the form at the signup page, and we will contact you via WhatsApp with more details. We will use WhatsApp as the primary means of sending you instructions, survey invites etc. You will be required to sign an NDA form before you can proceed with the trial.
To qualify, you must
- Be interested in watching English Premier League matches. You don’t have to be a current paying subscriber on StarHub’s EPL subscription service
- Own an Android or iOS smartphone
- Own a Smart TV that is less than 5 years old
- Not intend to travel outside Singapore for more than 14 days during the Testing Period
3. What will I need to do for the study?
Short Answer: Watch EPL Content on the App and provide feedback throughout the duration of the trial!
- Download a viewing app on your mobile device and connected TV
- Watch content on the apps regularly (we will share more details, but the viewing time will be reasonable)
- Complete survey(s) assigned during this phase by the stated deadlines. We will distribute a few throughout the trial but we promise not to overwhelm you with too many!
4. What happens during the onboarding period?
Onboarding is the setup process to ensure you can successfully access and watch content as part of this study.
During onboarding, you will be:
- Provided with a login access to the app
- Asked to download and set up the app on your mobile and connected TV devices
- Login and test the trial program, and confirm with us that everything is working smoothly on your devices
What devices will this study use?
You will use:
- Smart TV/Desktop/Mobile (Primary viewing device): For watching the live match
- Mobile device (Support device): For steps such as scanning QR codes, account sign-in, and completing surveys
What will be checked during onboarding?
You will verify that everything is operational on:
- Your mobile device (e.g., QR scanning, sign-in/access steps, opening survey links)
- Your Smart TV (e.g., connecting to the TV experience and starting live playback)
- Desktop/Laptop (e.g., opening survey links)
- Your user setup e.g. Sign up, installation or configuration)
5. Surveys
How many surveys will I need to complete?
There will several sent during the trial duration. All surveys must be completed as part of participation. We will distribute a few throughout the trial but we promise not to overwhelm you with too many!
When will I receive the surveys?
Survey timing, links, and deadlines will be shared via messages sent to the WhatsApp Community
If I am going on holidays overseas, can I still submit my survey response while overseas?
(NOTE: Please take note that you should not be travelling outside Singapore for more than 14 days during the Testing Period.)

What should I do if I have questions or face technical issues?
- Post your question using the Google Forms Link in the Official WhatsApp Community (service support channel), following the guidance shared during onboarding.

7. Participation Requirements
What do I need to do to stay eligible?
To remain eligible as a participant, you must:
- Complete onboarding and setup successfully
- Watch content on the apps regularly during the testing period (we will share more details, but the viewing time will be reasonable)

- Testing period: 11th April-End of May
- Complete at least 75% of all surveys by their deadlines
- Follow study instructions and use the official channels for updates
8. App Information and Details
What does App do?
The app allows you to view live Premier League matches and other content on your Smart TV and mobile device.
For research purposes, the app will collect information related to user experience (e.g., feedback and interaction patterns), technical performance (e.g., bugs or errors), and general usage data (e.g., feature usage and telemetry). This data will be used solely to evaluate and improve the app as part of the study. [To be updated further if necessary].
Is my data secure?
The app does not collect nor transmit personal data like phone contacts, photos and media/files, Internet browsing history, and call contents. Bound by global market research code of conduct, no personally identifiable data is provided to Consulting Group – Asia Insight or the client and any data analysis is conducted at an aggregate level (e.g., all customers data).
How long do I have to keep the trial program installed on my Smart TV for this research study?
Participants are required to retain the trial for the full duration of the research study, until the end of May 2026. This includes keeping access for up to one week after the end of the current Premier League season, to allow us to gather any final feedback necessary.
9. What happens if I lose or change my devices (phone and Smart TV)
You should inform us via the official WhatsApp Community and wait for further instructions to download and reinstall the trial program on your new phone/Smart TV (if it is compatible) as soon as possible without any disruptions.
10. Remuneration & Giveaways
Will I be paid for participating?
Besides getting access to a great app? Yes!
- Cohort 1 will receive $180
- Cohort 2 will receive $100
Are there lucky draws and other benefits?
Yes. Participants may have opportunities to be included in lucky draws.
Details (mechanics and prizes) will be shared once confirmed via the official channels.
When will the research study incentive be paid out?
Payment for Study Participation and any Lucky Draws will be made within 2 weeks after the end of the Premier League season (i.e., around early June).
Cash payments are made via PayNow and we will contact winners of any physical lucky draw prizes for collection.
